The new Mountain Rescue Building will utilize a Ground Source heat pump mechanical system. Several Geothermal wells will be required for this system. To gauge the overall performance of the site for geothermal, one test well is proposed to illustrate the thermal conductivity of the specific geology of the site. This will be done well in advance of construction to help the geothermal engineer with the final design of the system.
