1.0 DISCLAIMER & PURPOSE
This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, Market
Research.
2.0 BACKGROUND & REQUIREMENT
MARCORLOGCOM is seeking to provide a certificate-based "Logistics Fundamentals Program" for up to 25 civilian employees within the logistics
community (e.g., 0346, 2010, 2003 series). The training must be delivered on-site at Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) Albany, GA.
The required curriculum must cover the following core courses:
Logistics Fundamentals Certificate
- Course 1: Supply Chain Management Principles
- Course 2: Warehousing Operations
- Course 3: Inventory Management
- Course 4: Demand Planning
Supply Chain Management Certificate
- Course 1: Supply Chain Management
- Course 2: Supply Chain Project Management Fundamentals
The overarching learning objectives for the program include, but are not limited to:
- Understanding the key components and role of the logistics supply chain within a defense environment like MARCORLOGCOM.
- Defining supply chain management concepts (flows, metrics, frameworks, and organizational structures).
- Describing the information systems, technology, and teamwork used to create successful customer relationships and improve organizational
efficiency.
- Applying lean principles to warehouse and inventory management to reduce costs and improve responsiveness.
3.0 NAICS CODE & SIZE STANDARD
The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 611430 Professional and Management
Development Training, which has a corresponding Small Business Size Standard of $15.0 Million in average annual receipts.
