Project Description: The City of Allentown is posting for public inspection and comment until 2:00 p.m. Local Time, Wednesday, April 29th for the following Sole Source procurement of Modular Roundabout Kit by ZKxKZ LLC.
It is indicated that the Modular Roundabout Kit has a design patent which legally protects the design from being copied in any way. (U.S. Patent No. 10,724,181; 10,975,528 & 10,995,456) Using temporary traffic circles avoids the high cost of building permanent concrete roundabouts. It allows the City to test solutions first before investing in design and construction. This helps prevent spending money on permanent changes that may not perform as expected.
