COMMUNITY SCHOOLS COMMUNITY BASED ORGANIZATION (CBO) PARTNERS

Project Description: Buffalo Public Schools (BPS) Community Schools is one of the District’s top priorities. As part of a turnaround strategy for school improvement, the community schools model prioritizes the following: (i) eliminating achievement and opportunity gaps; (ii) access to educational excellence and accelerated learning; (iii) safety, security, and wellness; (iv) amplify all voices and cultivate trust; (v) activate partnerships. This is achieved by integrating and connecting the surrounding community through supporting students and families during the school day and providing additional programs and resources during the evening and on weekends.
