Project Description: The City is seeking to award one or more professional services on-call contract to support its The Strategic Mobility Plan, which is centered on the goal of providing safe, connected, and equitable mobility.
While the Strategic Mobility Plan represents our long-range mobility aspirations and serves as a baseline for our policies, strategies, and actions, the Strategic Investment Areas (SIA) put our plans into action and identifies locations where existing needs and challenges must be prioritized.
The city applied a series of mobility criteria to identify where our mobility needs and opportunities are across the city. This data driven process analyzed our mobility network using the following criteria: Safety (High Injury Network), Pedestrian (Sidewalk Infeasibility), Complete Streets (no curb and gutter), Congestion (High Congestion Intersections), Transit (Bus Priority Corridors), Bicycle (Bicycle Priority Network), Growth (Activity Centers) and Equity (Transportation Disadvantaged Index).
The SIA team will evaluate opportunities to improve current processes, address conflicting city policies, employ risk mitigation strategies, implement project controls best practices, and develop a financial management plan to ensure successful delivery of the pilot program.
