Project Description: Purpose: The purpose of this project is to bring the curb ramps at the identified intersection up to current City of Burleson standards for Directional Curb Ramps, ensuring compliance with current ADA accessibility requirements and pedestrian safety standards.
Scope of Work: The work shall include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
• Removal of existing curb ramps and adjacent sidewalk as necessary to accommodate new construction.
• Construction and installation of new Directional Curb Ramps per current City of Burleson design standards.
• Provide and install preformed thermoplastic heat-applied crosswalk markings consisting of 24” x 6’ white crosswalks with 4” black contrast borders, in accordance with the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TMUTCD).
• Provide and install preformed thermoplastic heat-applied Stop bar markings consisting of 24” x 12’ white markings (2 each), in accordance with the TMUTCD.
• Relocate roundabout warning signs to the Bike Lane Ends post.
• Relocate Bike Lane Ends sign to the street light pole at the roundabout.
• Provide and install Fluorescent Yellow Pedestrian Warning Signs (W11-2) (2 each, 30” x 30”) with Fluorescent Yellow “Down Arrow” Plaques (W16-7P) (2 each, 21” x 15”) on 1¾” Telespar posts with 2” drivable bases, in accordance with the TMUTCD and City standards.
• Provide and install Fluorescent Yellow Advanced Pedestrian Warning Sign (W11-2) (1 each, 30” x 30”) with Fluorescent Yellow “Ahead” Plaque (W16-9P) (1 each, 24” x 12”) on 1¾” Telespar post with 2” drivable base, in accordance with the TMUTCD and City standards.
• Restoration of all disturbed areas to match existing conditions or as otherwise specified in project plans.
There will be a site visit Friday 10/24/25 @ 10am
