Project Description: Project Information
Mike Shaffer, on behalf of Tyrone Township, will accept sealed proposals via the PennBid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) until 5:00 p.m., prevailing time, September 29, 2026, for the construction of Phase 1 of the Tyrone Township Municipal building located at 3129 Shermans Valley Road, Loysville, PA 17047. Bid opening will be held on September 29, 2026 at the Loysville Community Center, 654 Weavers Mill Road, Loysville, PA 17047, during the regularly scheduled Tyrone Township Supervisors meeting. All bid proposals shall be properly executed without alterations and shall be complete. Bidding documents are available at no cost via the PennBid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com).
Bid Proposal
All bid proposals shall be properly executed without alterations and shall be complete. The successful bidder will be required to post a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid price, labor and material payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid price and maintenance bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid price.
Pre-Bid Meeting
An optional pre-bid meeting will be held on August 25, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the proposed site of the Tyrone Township Municipal Building, 3129 Shermans Valley Rd, Loysville, PA 17047.
Important Requirement - the following must be met:
1. Prevailing Wage Act - all workmen employed on the project must be paid the prevailing minimum wage under the Prevailing Wage Act. Information on the PWA may be found at www.dil.state.pa.us/laborlaw by clicking on the link to Prevailing Wage Act. See appendix D.
a. The PWA does apply to all contractors and sub-contractors. Please contact the Department of Labor and Industry – Bureau of Labor Law compliance at 717-705-7256 with questions about the PWA.
The Tyrone Township Supervisors and Matt Eck, on behalf of the Township, reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof and to waive any defects or irregularities in the best interest of Tyrone Township.
