Pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-131 and city policy, sealed proposals endorsed “Fire Station 11 Interior Work
and Fuel Tank Installation, IF26125” will be received by City/County Purchasing, City Hall, 101 North
Main Street, Winston-Salem, NC until the date and time listed above. **This will not be a public bid
opening!** The City reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding procedures and to reject any
or all proposals.
Bidders must be properly licensed as required by Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes.

Bidders are encouraged to carefully read and understand the contents of the Bidding Documents.
This project includes the installation of a fuel tank and new pad to support it, along with new bollards. Work
also includes interior work with demo and replacement of ceiling tiles after work on the ceiling structure
and deck.
The M/WBE subcontracting goals for this project are 12% MBE and 5% WBE and must be met separately.

** NOTICE OF PRE-BID **
A MANDATORY site visit pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 PM, January 14, 2026 at 2745
Waughtown St, Winston-Salem, NC 27107 (Fire Station 11).
The purpose of this conference is to summarize the scope of work involved and to explain the City’s
Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) goals and program related to this project.
Staff will be present to answer questions. The City will not consider bids from companies who do not
have a representative present at the pre-bid and/or who fails to record their attendance on the sign-in
sheet.
