Description View Changes
This request is for the continued software support and maintenance of the existing Lynx Duress & Mass Notification System currently deployed at the VA Western Colorado Health Care System main hospital and associated telehealth and leased spaces. These services are required to ensure uninterrupted operation, system reliability, and staff safety by maintaining the existing Lynx alarm infrastructure. The services will be utilized solely for ongoing support of the current system; no new system installation or expansion is included in this request.
The Lynx Duress & Mass Notification System is a proprietary system developed, owned, and licensed exclusively by Lynx Systems. The software, server architecture, licensing, updates, and technical support are vendor-controlled and not authorized for third-party maintenance or support.
Only Lynx Systems can:
Provide authorized software updates, patches, and fixes
Maintain system compatibility and functionality
Ensure alarm processing integrity and emergency notification reliability
Preserve vendor support and system operability
Use of any other vendor would void manufacturer support, introduce system incompatibilities, and create unacceptable operational and safety risks. Replacement of the existing system would require a complete system overhaul, retraining of staff, and significant additional costs and downtime. Therefore, no other supplies or services can meet the agency s requirements.
