The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), on the behalf of the Office of Enforcement and Removal Operations ("ERO"), intends to award a sole-source modification for an eight-month extension for detention services and transportation services with Akima Global Services LLC (AGS). The contract was originally awarded to AGS via a competitive 8(a) procurement, with a period of performance ending January 31, 2025. This sole source extension will be conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C 3304(a)(1) - FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to:

AGS will continue to provide detention services and transportation for the Buffalo Service Processing Center/Buffalo Federal Detention Facility (Buffalo SPC/BFDF) located in Batavia, NY, while the follow-on contract effort is competed. These services are required to facilitate the ERO continuing mission-critical responsibility for housing and transporting apprehended aliens in the ICE/ERO/Buffalo Area of Responsibility. The place of performance is at the Buffalo Service Processing Center/Buffalo Federal Detention Facility (Buffalo SPC/BFDF), located at 4250 Federal Dr, Batavia, NY 14020. This action will result in a hybrid Firm-Fixed Price/Labor-Hour contract extension with a period of performance of eight months.This is not a request for proposals. This notice of intent to award a sole source modification is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted.
