West Sacramento is a vibrant riverfront community in Northern California, sharing the Sacramento River with the City of Sacramento and serving as home to the Port of Sacramento via the deep-water ship canal. Incorporated in 1987, the City spans approximately 22 square miles and is home to just over 55,000 residents and operates under a Council/Manager form of government. Located at 1110 West Capitol Avenue, the West Sacramento City Hall Galleria serves as the heart of the City Hall complex and a focal point for civic life, providing an open and accessible venue for public meetings, community gatherings, and cultural events.
To support ongoing building operations, maintenance, and future equipment replacement needs, the City is evaluating the feasibility of installing an approximately 6,000 -12,000-pound capacity rooftop crane at City Hall. The project will include a structural assessment of the existing roof and building systems, evaluation of crane loads and operational impacts, and the design of a crane support pad and designated rooftop landing pad for equipment being lifted to or offloaded from the roof, ensuring safe, efficient, and long-term use of this critical civic facility.
