Construction of the Washington & Old Dominion Trail At-Grade Crossing Project, RFQ 641808

The Intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the County of Loudoun, Virginia (County) to obtain the services of a qualified General Contractor to construct the Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail At-Grade Crossings Improvements Project (the “Project”). The Project includes various improvements at eight (8) geographically separated locations along the W&OD Trail within the unincorporated areas of the County and the Town of Purcellville. Improvements at each project site vary and may include the realignment of trail crossings, the construction of median refuge islands, the construction of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps, the installation of flashing warning signs, tree trimming and clearing, and the restriction of parking. The general scope of work includes, but is not limited to, all surveying, construction layout, maintenance of traffic, earthwork (including the removal of unsuitable material), rock excavation, erosion & sediment control, other environmental controls, safety procedures and complete compliance with all applicable permits, to include but not be limited to, Virginia Stormwater Management Program (VSMP)/ Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) requirements, building trade permits and environmental permits.
