ADDENDUM NO. 1
February 25, 2026
This Addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents and modifies the original Bidding
Documents. Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided on the Bid Form. Failure
to do so may subject the Bidder to disqualification. The following modifications are being made as
described herein:
I. DRAWINGS
1. General
a. A 30” casing pipe was left in place, above grade, following the well drilling.
The 30” casing pipe shall be removed to below grade by the contractor, as
noted in the Well Casing Note on Sheet 16 of these revised plans. All pertinent
sheets have been updated to show the final conditions with the 24” casing pipe
being the only casing pipe remaining above grade and extended as specified.
b. A vertical 12”x12” tee with a blind flange has been added on the pump
discharge piping, under the platform. All pertinent sheets have been updated
to show this.
c. The configuration of the air release valve, sample tap, and piping between the
pump and the check valve has been modified. All pertinent sheets have been
updated to show this.
2. Sheet 1
a. Title sheet has been signed by the City Engineer.
3. Sheet 9
a. Final height of the casing pipe has been added.
4. Sheet 16
a. A vent has been added to the well casing.
b. The Well Casing Note has been added.
c. A note pertaining to the pump head has been added.
5. Sheet 17
a. The heat tape and insulation are now shown.
b. The concrete pipe encasement and detail have been removed.
A complete set of revised Drawings are included with this Addendum.
II. SPECIFICATIONS
1. Under Section 1.3 Materials, Casing Pipe, the thickness of the casing pipe has been
specified as 0.5 inches.
2. Under Section 14.3 Materials, Sanitary Drain, Waste, and Vent Piping, the last
sentence regarding the air release discharge piping has been added.
A complete set of revised Specifications are included with this Addendum.

III. CLARIFICATIONS
1. For the underground raw waterline piping, the 11-1/4o and 22-1/2o bends may be
HDPE fittings. All other fittings shall be ductile iron.
2. The section of 20” pipe between the tee and the plugged gate valve at Sta. 11+65 shall
be ductile iron.
3. The City of Wooster has already applied for and paid the fee for AEP Ohio to extend
electric service to the site. The AEP Ohio electric extension plan is available upon
request.
Please acknowledge receipt of this addendum by inserting any revised pages into the contract
documents and indicating the Addendum No. and date on the Bid.
