Notice of Intent to Sole Source. This Notice of Intent is published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 5.101(a)(1).
The United States Air Force (USAF), 509 Contracting Squadron, intends to award a sole source (Only One Responsible Source) Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract to ADB Safegate.
The purpose of this contract is to refresh the existing hardware as part of the Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring System (ALCMS) at Whiteman AFB. Whiteman currently utilizes ADB Safegate equipment and software. Market research revealed that no other manufacturer would be able to provide the require computer upgrade. Award will be made directly to ADB Safegate IAW FAR 13.106-3 Award and Documentation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 335314, Relay and Industrial Control Manufacturing, with a size of 750 Employees.
This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, any party that believes it is capable of meeting this requirement may submit a written capability statement that clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to provide the part required. Capability statements must be received by the response date and time of this notice. Additional consideration will be given during the next same or similar requirement, regardless of when a response is given. Please send your capabilities statement, regardless of timeframe. Additional consideration shall be given to any small business who can demonstrate their ability to provide a competitive offer. Submissions will be reviewed to determine if they can meet the requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
