The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of the Trial Court (EOTC) seeks multiple Vendor/Programs that are approved mediation programs pursuant to Rule 4(a) of Supreme Judicial Court Rule 1:18 (Uniform Rules on Dispute Resolution) to administer a new court connected ODR Mediation Pilot Program providing On-line Dispute Resolution (ODR) services for small claims cases in selected court divisions.
The ODR Mediation Pilots are intended to expand access to justice and determine the utility and application of ODR for small claims cases. The results of the ODR Mediation Pilots have the potential in the future to expand ODR Mediation for small claims cases in other court divisions.
The Trial Court has contracted with its Information Tecnology vendor, Equivant, to provide an On-line Platform for the ODR Mediation Pilots. The Trial Court in conjunction with Equivant, is teaming with an ODR vendor, Resolve Dispute Online (RDO) to implement, configure, and support ODR Mediation Pilots. The ODR on-line platform and software are configured to allow integration with the Trial Court's current case management system to receive case information, status updates on ODR Mediation, and agreements. The computer platform is hosted on RDO's secure Microsoft Azure Cloud.
