Overview

Summary

The Pasadena Fire Department (PFD) is seeking bids from qualified bidders interested in providing the City with Scott self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) equipment, parts, and servicing and repairs. The objective of this Invitation for Bid (“IFB”) solicitation is to identify the most responsive and responsible bidder to provide the City with the requested SCBA equipment and service.

Bidders must bid on all three specification sections of the bid (SCBA Specifications, SCBA Parts Specifications, Maintenance and Repairs Specifications) to be considered responsive.

Please note that due to safety regulations, substitute equipment or similar equipment of a different brand will not be considered for award.

Bids are requested from equipment suppliers that are responsive, responsible and offer the best pricing and value. The agreement resulting from this bid will be a five-year contract subject to the terms and conditions contained within the sample contract, attached to the bid invitation. Orders will be placed throughout the term of the contract by assigned PFD personnel on an as-needed basis. The provided estimate of the amount of equipment and services that will be ordered throughout the contract term is based on previous usage. The actual quantities ordered may be greater or lower than the provided estimates. As such, the PFD makes no guarantee as to the order amount during the contract term.
