Texas Historical Commission (THC) isseeking bids of services described in the Section 1.4, Statement of Work forSecurity Guard Services for the historic Magoffin Home in El Paso, Texas.The site’s campus is located at 1120 and1117 Magoffin Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79901.  It spans two sides of the street, with the historic Magoffin Home beinga late 19 ^th -century adobe structure surrounded by walled grounds andthe Visitor Center and staff office building being an early 20 ^th -centurybrick structure with a small, enclosed yard and parking lot.  Thecampus has intrusion and fire detection systems with central station monitoringand dispatch, and closed-circuit television (CCTV) surveillance cameras.

THC seeks an individual or firm withthe required expertise to provide unarmed security guard services at theMagoffin Home State Historic Site. Awarded security guard firms will haveaccess to agency facilities, permit reasonable access to agency personnel,etc. Security guards face a variety ofpotential risks, including dealing with aggressive individuals,environmental hazards, and mental/emotional stress. Awarded vendorsmust meet IFB criteria listed in Section II, 2.5 Bid Requirements and 2.12 PastPerformance. Services shall include, but are not limited to, the requirementscontained in this IFB.

This IFB requires a pre-proposal sitevisit/inspection. Bidders must make prior arrangements by contacting DanielleBrissette, Site Manager, at 915-533-5147 to meet for a site visit. ExhibitX, Site Visit Form, must be signed off by a THC representative and includedin your bid submittal. The dates for the site visits are from April 30 to May16, 2025. Time: 9 AM – 4 PM, Location: 1120 Magoffin Avenue, El Paso, TX,79925.

THCwill award a Contract to a Bidder(s) whose Bid is considered to provide bestvalue to the State of Texas, as defined by Texas Government Code § 2155.074.THC reserves the right to award contract(s) to one or more Bidders. THC makesits award depending on what best serves the project needs.
