Project Description: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids will be received by Downingtown Municipal Water Authority for: Downingtown Municipal Water Authority Addition and Renovation In accordance with Drawings and Project Manuals, dated January 14, 2025 together with all work incidental thereto as prepared by the KRUG ARCHITECTS. Sealed Bid Proposals shall be received for the following work, and as follows: SINGLE PRIME BUILDING CONTRACT FOR ALL WORK, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, GENERAL CONSTRUCTION, SITEWORK, HVAC, FIRE ALARM, PLUMBING, AND ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION FOR APPROXIMATELY 1,080 SQUARE FOOT ADDITION AND MINOR RENOVATIONS. Bids for the above will be received electronically by 2 PM on February 25, 2025 on PennBid. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on February 11, 2025 at 2:00 PM. The meeting will be held at the 100 Water Plant Way, Downingtown, PA. The purpose of the meeting will be to allow interested firms to familiarize themselves with the site, the project and to ask questions regarding this bid. Additional follow-up site visits may be coordinated with the Architect following this meeting. The selected firm is expected to be experienced in these types of public, wage-rate, projects and construction. It is expected that the qualified firm selected will have enough level of experience and staff to carry out the general contractor requirements of this project with a minimum of five (5) completed projects of this size and type. Additionally, the selected firm will be expected to execute a modified AIA Document A101 – Standard Form of Agreement between Owner and Contractor. Complete sets of Bidding Documents will be available after February 3, 2025 via PennBid https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/portal/?tab=openOpportunities Bids must be submitted via PennBid https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/portal/?tab=openOpportunities. Bids must be submitted electronically on the proposal forms provided on PennBid. Neither Downingtown Municipal Water Authority, nor the Architect will assume any responsibility for Bids mailed or misdirected in delivery. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the date established for the opening of bids. Applicable wage rates apply. Bidding shall follow all applicable requirements of the laws and statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The successful bidder is required to ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex or natural origin.
