APEX Accelerators are an official government contracting resource for small businesses. Find your local APEX Accelerator (opens in new window) for free government expertise related to contract opportunities.
APEX Accelerators are funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Department of Defense.
The APEX Accelerators program was formerly known as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (opens in new window) (PTAP).
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Purchase Order to LI-COR Biosciences (LICORbio) for an Odyssey® M Imager.
The Government intends to solicit from a single source in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
LI-COR Biosciences is the sole manufacturer, supplier, and service provider of the Odyssey® M Imaging System. The Odyssey® M Imager provides a unique combination of near-infrared and visible fluorescence imaging, trans and epi illumination, and optional luminescence detection within a single imaging platform.
The system utilizes line-scanning technology with optimized excitation and sCMOS detection for fluorescence imaging, as well as CCD detection for luminescence. The system provides a wide dynamic range of more than six orders of magnitude across its imaging channels, minimizing signal saturation and supporting quantitative imaging applications.
Based on the proprietary nature and unique configuration of the required equipment, LI-COR Biosciences is the only known responsible source capable of providing the required system without substantial duplication of cost or unacceptable delays.
This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. However, interested parties that believe they are capable of meeting the Government's requirements may submit a capability statement demonstrating their ability to provide the Odyssey® M Imager and associated components meeting the Government's required specifications.
The Government will consider all timely responses received and will determine whether the acquisition should proceed as a single-source procurement or be competed.
The Government anticipates making an award approximately five (5) calendar days after the closing date of this notice, unless the Government determines that another responsible source is capable of meeting the requirement.
Capability statements shall be submitted electronically to haunp@mail.nih.gov no later than 9:00 a.m. EDT on September 17, 2026.
Please reference Notice No. 75N98026Q01162 in the subject line of the response.
