PENNSYLVANIA WESTERN UNIVERSITY - CALIFORNIA CAMPUS

PWCA-25002 Slate Roofing Repairs – Kara Porch Replacement

Steep Slope Roofing Repairs: Replacement of broken, missing, and damaged slate shingles
on five (5) university buildings: Kara Alumni Hall, Eberly Hall, Herron Hall, Vulcan Hall, and
Watkins Hall.

Porch Repairs at Kara Alumni Hall: Repairs include structural framing and balustrade
replacements, entablature removal and reinstallation, column repairs, new soffit, slate paving
regrouting, and painting at the North and East Porches.

Low Slope Roofing Coatings at Kara Alumni Hall: New roof coatings over existing SBS
membrane roofing at porch roofs and upper mechanical equipment roof. Treatment of existing plastic balustrade at upper roof.

Work shall be accomplished by a Single Contractor according to Pennsylvania statute. The Lead Prime Contractor shall be the General Construction Contractor and shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment and performing all work necessary to complete all construction identified on the Contract Documents to the satisfaction of, and subject to approval of the Professional and the University.

A Pre-bid conference, with site visit to follow, will be held on March 11, 2025, at 1pm, at Dixon Hall, L-09 250 University Avenue, California PA 15419.

Electronic Bids are due no later than 2:00 PM, EST on April 3, 2025, through PASSHE’s ARIBA Sourcepoint located at http://seller.ariba.com.
