Description: The Village of New Paltz Board requests proposals and qualifications to design and install a roof-mounted PhotoVoltaic (PV) system on the Fire Department building. The Fire Department building is an all-electric facility with annual usage of electricity at 90,000 kWh in 2023. Our goal is to install sufficient roof-top solar panels to offset 90-100% of that usage annually. Funding will be from a grant to the Town from Clean Energy Communities and contracted by NYSERDA. Responsive proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope, be identified as “Response to Request for Proposal for Fire Department Building PV System”, and be received by the Village Clerk at Village Hall, 25 Plattekill Avenue, New Paltz, NY by 1:00 p.m. on November 15 , 2024. The Village of New Paltz Board reserves the right to reject any and all proposals if it deems it necessary in the best interest of the citizens of the Village. Notice of this RFP will be published in a local newspaper and posted on the Village website and other venues to solicit responses from interested and qualified firms.
