Project Description: To provide detachment and installation services for Two (2) Challenger Two-Post
Lifts in the Automotive Technology Building on the University of Hawaii Maui
College, Kahului campus. Vendor should have the proper equipment to test equipment
functionality after project completion.

LIFT DESCIPTION:

▪︎ Challenger CL10AV306 10K Versymmetric® Two-Post Adjustable Lift

▪︎ Challenger CL12A06 12K Heavy-Duty Two-Post Adjustable Lift

PROJECT SCOPE:

▪︎ Cut anchors

▪︎ Clean floor and move lift out of the work area

▪︎ Anchor new lifts a minimum of 4 inches minimum depth with steel reinforcement
into concrete floor, 3500 PSI

▪︎ Cure for 28 days

IMPORTANT NOTES:

▪︎ All work to be done during normal campus hours: Monday - Friday
from 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Hawaii Standard Time (HST).

▪︎ Must be completed, tested, and certified operational within 60 consecutive
calendar days from the date designated in the approved Purchase Order.

Special Instructions

1. The submittal of a bid shall be considered as acceptance of the specifications as
published, as well as agreement to the University of Hawaii Terms and Conditions
(Attachment 1).

2. Hawaii Compliance Express: Bids of $2,500 or more will require a Certificate of Vendor
Compliance in compliant status at time of award (HRS 103D-310(c). If a vendor does not
have a compliant certificate, the vendors bid will be disqualified, and the next lowest
bid will be considered.

3. All questions pertaining to the project\'s scope of work shall be directed to Lawrence
Martinson lmatin@hawaii.edu. Questions shall be submitted no later than 12:00 p.m. Hawaii
Standard Time (HST), March 12, 2026.

4. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT: To be eligible to submit a quote, vendors
must possess a valid Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Certified Lift Inspector
certification and official factory trained representative for Challenger.

5. Quote price must be valid for a minimum of 30 days after bid closing date.

6. Award is subject to availability of funds.

7. Price shall include removal and installation cost, travel expenses, equipment rental
fees, and applicable taxes from:

Hawaii General Excise Tax (GET): maximum allowable for Maui is 4.712%.

8. Project shall be completed within 60 consecutive calendar days after receipt of order
(ARO).

9. SITE VISIT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: A site visit will be held on March 12, 2025. Please
meet Lawrence Martinson at the Automotive technology Building. The initial
inspection is to identify and examine the conditions and to be aware or satisfied as
to the character and amount of work to be performed as called for by the specifications.

No additional allowance will be granted because of lack of knowledge of such conditions.

10. Inclusion of terms and conditions may be grounds for disqualification.

11. Vendor receiving the award is required to provide the following documentation before
a purchase order is issued.

(1) Hawaii Compliance Express Certificate of Vendor Compliance

(2) Certificate of Liability Insurance (refer to Special Provisions Attachment 2)

(3) Signed Superquote Award notice
