Needed Service or Supply: Construction of Two Storage Buildings for DNR State Park

Locations

Project Background: The Division of Parks and Watercraft requires a total of two pole-barn style storage

buildings. Each building will be separate so a supplier may bid on and be awarded one or both projects.

Specifications/Scope of Work FOR EACH BUILDING:

• Buildings must be pole barn construction with laminated wood posts, treated at the bottom.

• Roof minimum 1 ft overhang on the gutter sides.

• Metal for roof and siding – 26 gauge minimum.

• Awarded supplier to obtain applicable building permits and coordinate inspections with the Ohio

Department of Commerce.

• Supplier to provide as-built records including engineer stamped as-built drawings and operation and

maintenance manuals for all building components.

• Completion by June 30, 2026

Building 1: 30’ x 50’ x 14’ Storage Garage to house construction equipment

• Metal siding- tan

• Metal roof and trim – brown

• Man Door - (white) minimum dimensions of 36”x 80” - prefer to be on front left with garage doors

• (3) garage doors 12’w x 12’h on long side

• Downspouts and Gutters

• To be installed on a prepared gravel base

Site Visit & Point of Contact

Prior to submitting a bid response, offerors are encouraged to visit the parks to see the proposed

locations.

Once a contract is awarded, failure of the bidder to have requested a site visit to become familiar with

the facility and requirements of the bid will be insufficient reason to support any request to be released

from the contract.

9. Remit to address must match our records for payment

The awarded supplier will be required to sign an Addendum to Bid Quote or Personal Services

Agreement. Example attached.
