Project Description: Issuing Procurement Unit: State of Utah Division of Purchasing
Conducting Procurement Unit: Utah Department of Natural Resources
The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a contract to provide the mechanical cutting and piling of Subalpine Fir tree species with various diameter classes in excess of 22" diameter at breast height (DBH) in an approximately 135 acre area approximately 7 miles East of Oakley, UT. Approximately 12 acres of the total area must be cut, skidded whole tree and decked for potential hauling to a timber sale.
Mandatory Site Visit: Bidders must attend in person on July 29th, 2025 at 09:00 AM at the parking lot east of the Oakley City Hall building at 960 W Center St., Oakley, UT 84036, where bidders will follow the project manager via their own 4x4 vehicles to the project site; higher clearance trucks with 4WD are acceptable as are ATV / UTVs. Any prospective bidders who fail to attend or arrive late will not be allowed to continue with the site visit nor submit a bid. Please find further details regarding the site visit in the attached scope of work.
It is anticipated that this IFB will result in a single contract award to the lowest cost responsive and responsible vendor that meets the minimum experience and equipment requirements outlined within the scope of work.
Project Performance Time: Contractor must begin work within seven (7) calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed (NTP), and project must be completed by June 30th, 2027.
Vendor must guarantee its pricing through completion of the project. One lump-sum final payment will be made at the end of each working season for the actual number of acres completed following a final inspection of the completed project, and payments will be made in accordance with the payment clause in the State's standard terms and conditions.
