NYPD seeks a consulting engineering firm with experience assisting municipalities in developing stormwater management plans, utility designs, and monitoring water quality during the qualifying storm events. The selected firm will study retrofitting for three (3) NYPD precincts severely impacted by Hurricane Ida with onsite stormwater retention such as green roofs and underground storage. In addition, the project will also include the development of a benefit cost analysis screenings, undergo environmental analysis, obtain permits, and provide a cost estimate for all solutions. The efforts of the project will result in the creation of a Hazard Mitigation Assistance subapplication that will obtain additional grant funding for the construction phase. Additionally, the contractor’s work should meet the Notification of Grant Award NOGA’s timeframe and deliverables and ensures the contract is compliant with FEMA (2 CFR 200), DHSES, and NYC procurement rules.

Note: The total M/WBE Participation Goal is 6.9%.
