REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS FOR STANDING OFFER AGREEMENT (RFA-SOA)

SPECIFICATIONS OF GOODS AND SCOPE OF SERVICES

The City is seeking to establish standing offer agreements, with one (1) or more companies that can provide rental construction equipment (the “Goods”) to be used by the City’s Engineering Department – Operations Division basis over the Term. The City’s Engineering Department has ongoing operational requirements for such rentals to: (i) temporarily replace municipal equipment that is out of service for repairs; (ii) augment the City's existing equipment inventory to meet increased or specialized demand; and (iii) facilitate the evaluation and trial of equipment prior to potential acquisition for permanent use.

Applicants shall propose a pricing structure based on the daily, weekly, and monthly rental rate of the rental of the equipment offered.

The Applicant shall furnish all necessary labour, materials, supplies and transportation necessary to supply and deliver the Goods and any spare parts on an “as and when” required basis.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The following is a list of preferred Goods that the City is looking for Contractors to provide monthly rates for:
• Excavators
o Various sizes, steel and rubber track options
o List components and prices for attachments, blade, thumb, auxiliary hydraulics, breaker, hoepak etc.
• Backhoe
• Wheel loaders
o Various sizes from 1-metre bucket size up to 4-metre
• Road rollers
o Vibrating double drum rollers, from to 2 tonne -10 tonne
o Combi asphalt rollers 2 tonne – 6 tonne
o Single drum construction rollers
• Tracked dumpers (Morooka)
o Various sizes
• Dozers
o Various sizes up to 20,000 kgs

ADDENDA

If the City determines that an amendment is required to this RFA-SOA, the City Representative will issue a written addendum by posting it on the BC Bid Website at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca and the City Website at www.surrey.ca (collectively, the “Websites”), and upon posting, any addenda will form part of this RFA-SOA. It is the responsibility of Applicants to check the Websites for addenda. The only way this RFA-SOA may be added to, or amended in any way, is by a formal written addendum. No other communication, whether written or oral, from any person will affect or modify the terms of this RFA-SOA or may be relied upon by any Applicant. By delivery of an Application, the Applicant is deemed to have received, accepted and understood the entire RFA-SOA, including any and all addenda.
