IFB #27-02 Removal and Replacement of Bituminous Activated Carbon

The City of Amesbury through its Department of Public Works – Water Division is seeking sealed bids for the removal and replacement of bituminous activated carbon.

Clearly marked and sealed bids must be submitted to the Office of Administration and Finance, 1 Market Street, Office 215, Amesbury, MA 01913, by no later than 11:00 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids may be submitted by mail or in-person delivery only. Bids submitted by email, fax, or any other method will not be accepted. Late bids will not be accepted regardless of the reason for lateness. Bidders assume the risk of delays in the mail or in the handling of the mail by city employees.

The bidding for and award of the Contract for this project are to be in accordance with the requirements of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B.

Contract Award is subject to availability of Funding through The City of Amesbury.

No Bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of thirty days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays after the actual date of the opening of bids.

If submitting a bid in a mailer, the enclosed bid shall be in a separate sealed envelope.

The City reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
