Notice of Intent to Award a Contract

Notice is hereby given that the City of Abbotsford (the “City”) is contemplating making a direct award of a contract to Microsoft Canada Inc (the “Service Provider”) for the following:

The contract will be for three (3) years from March 1, 2025 to Feb 29, 2028 and the contract amount for the three years is up to a maximum of $1,575,000.00. The value of the contract from March 1, 2014 to February 28, 2025 is $5,695,328.15 (subscription costs).

Background

The current contract with Microsoft Canada Inc expires on February 28, 2025. The City of Abbotsford (“City”) is participating in the Provincial “Microsoft Business and Services Agreement (“MBSA”) which entitles the City to pricing “Level D”.

Rationale for Contemplating a Direct Award

The City is contemplating a direct award with the Supplier for the following reasons:

Contract Value:

The value of the contract is expected not to exceed $7,270,328.15 CAD plus applicable taxes.

A ny Respondents that still wish to object to this decision they should email their objection to the attention of Sailesh Kapadia, Buyer III , Procurement Services at https://abbotsford.bidsandtenders.ca by Monday, December 16, 2024 no later than 2:00 p.m. local time.
