II. Asbestos Inspection/Assessment Scope of Work
In an effort to satisfy OSHA, AHERA, ASHERA and NESHAP requirements for building materials
that may be asbestos containing, the inspection was completed by a licensed Asbestos Inspector
in accordance with procedures specified in EPA 40 CFR, 763.86. The inspection included a
comprehensive visual inspection of the subject area(s) to identify suspect materials. A list of
functional spaces and homogenous materials was made for the building, along with a
description of the type of material (thermal system insulation, surfacing and miscellaneous). A
physical assessment of the condition and location of suspect material was conducted, and
representative bulk samples were collected for laboratory analysis.
The home is square shaped with aluminum siding over wood. It is built on a crawl space. The
roof is asphalt shingles over wood subroof. The home includes a living room, kitchen, dining
room, hallway, one bedroom and one bathroom. The home includes approximately 1083
square feet.
