ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Pursuant to Section 143-129 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the City of Lexington is accepting bids for the construction of the following project:

Lexington Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant Solids Handling Improvements

City Bid No. 12-25-994

NC DEQ Division of Water Infrastructure Project No. CS370617-04

Bids will be received at the Office of the Purchasing Officer located at City Hall, 28 West Center Street, Lexington, NC 27292, until January 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

A mandatory pre-bid conference for the Project will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 7, 2026 at the Purchasing Office, City Hall, 28 West Center Street, Lexington, NC 27292.Immediately following the pre-bid conference, a site walk at the Lexington RWWTP (500 Glendale Road, Lexington, NC 27292) will take place. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that do not attend the mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit.

The Project has a duration of 915 days and includes the following Work:

Construction of a new Dewatering and Drying Building to house sludge dewatering belt filter presses (BFPs), polymer dilution and feed systems, a sludge belt dryer and appurtenances, and supporting equipment; and other work indicated in the Contract Documents.

Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at either location Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
