The overall scope of this requirement is to provide lifecycle, modernization and in-service support for Fairbanks Morse engine lines and related shipboard auxiliary and support systems. The support required will involve engineering and technical services, logistics support services, engine training services, and administrative and program management services efforts related to diesel engine lifecycle and in-service concerns. The contract type selected for this requirement is a hybrid Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee and Firm-Fixed–Price indefinite-delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) type contract. This contract is a single award IDIQ to Fairbanks Morse as this company is the only source capable of providing the required services.
