Description


Sealed Bids for the construction of the FY 2026 Resurfacing & Patching Project will be received, by Grady County Board of Commissioners, at 33 17th Ave NW, Cairo, GA 39827, until 11:15 AM, Tuesday, April 28, 2026, local time, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed FY 2026 Resurfacing & Patching Project as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of resurfacing Cleon Waldrop Road for 1.21 miles, Sofkee Road for 2.17 miles, and Oakland Drive for 0.42 miles. Also, there will be multiple locations for spot patching of roadway and all associated measures for the complete project. Time allotted for completion of work is 180 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion. Work shall be complete and ready for contract close-out with 194 consecutive calendar days. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. Copies of Bidding Documents for bidding purposes can be obtained from Watkins & Associates, L.L.C., 1606 Whiddon Mill Road, Tifton, Georgia 31793, Phone: (229) 388-8823, (Office of the Engineer) upon payment of $300.00 for each set (non-refundable). Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Grady County Board of Commissioners, located at 33 17th Ave NW, Cairo, GA 39827 or at Watkins & Associates, LLC on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. Upon request and receipt of the document payment indicated above, Watkins & Associates, LLC will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted will be considered the prospective Bidder¿s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.
