Child Advocacy Services

Project Description: SCOPE Montgomery County, on behalf of the Office of Finance, is issuing this request for proposal for the purpose of supporting a Child Advocacy Center located within Montgomery County. Children’s Advocacy Centers provide children and families with healing and justice in a setting they can trust. The County seeks a CAC which brings together doctors, nurses, prosecutors, social workers and police in order to provide a unique and essential program of treatment and healing for child victims, while working to hold offenders accountable. The center must provide support, advocacy and quality assurance in a coordinated approach in the treatment of child victims, assist in preventing and detecting child abuse and provide, through forensic interviewing and other techniques employed by the multidisciplinary investigative teams, the most effective way to bring perpetrators of child sexual abuse to justice.
