Quick Quote 26500016 for New Tile for the Christiansburg Aquatic Center

A. SUMMARY
The intent and purpose of this request for unsealed quotes is to find a Contractor to re-tile the
tiles on each side of the trench that surrounds all 3 pools at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
This work is intended to be turn-key with work to be completed by April 30, 2026.
B. SPECIFICATIONS
The Town of Christiansburg is requesting quotes for the following work at their Aquatic Center:
• Removal of existing tile, 3-tile widths on each side of the trenches that surround all 3
swimming pools in the Aquatic Center (see photos in Exhibit A). Total trench grating is
1,120 linear feet.
• Installation of new tile to replace old tile, 3-tile widths on each side of the pool trenches
(see drawings in Exhibit B). Tile shall be Keystones Field Tile, 2”x2”, marble unglazed,
to match the existing tile as closely as possible. 75 square feet of tile repair.
• All work should include a 12-month warranty beginning with the Town’s acceptance of
the completed project.
• Three references are required providing evidence of recent work of a similar nature.
• Contractor will be the primary contractor on the project, no work will be subcontracted.
• Prior to work beginning, proof of a business license for our locality will be required.
C. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• The Christiansburg Aquatic Center was built in 2010. All tile to be removed is original
to the building, some tiles have been replaced since 2010.
D. PRE-BID MEETING
• There will be no pre-bid meeting. Bidders who wish to see the aquatic center in person
may come anytime during regular business hours and ask for assistance at the front desk.

F. BID SUBMISSION
The deadline for quote submission is 3:00 p.m. EST, Friday, February 13, 2026. Quotes may
be submitted via courier, electronically, mail or may be hand delivered.
1. To submit quotes electronically, the bidders will e-mail the Procurement Officer at
tvance@christiansburg.org with “Quick Quote 26500016 for New Tile for the
Christiansburg Aquatic Center” in the subject line.
2. To deliver hard-copy quotes to the Town, envelopes should be clearly marked
“Quick Quote 26500016 for New Tile for the Christiansburg Aquatic Center”,
and addressed to Tara Vance, Procurement Officer.
3. All bidders are responsible for ensuring quotes were received by the Town.
4. Quotes received after the deadline will not be accepted.
