Solicitation Summary

Sealed bids for the construction of a portion of the sanitary sewerage facilities for Phase 4 of the Southern Kent Island service area (consisting of the subdivisions of Chesapeake Estates, Sunny Isle of Kent, Matapeake Estates as well as the community of Batts neck/Normans), Queen Anne's County, Maryland will be received from qualified bidders by the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County at the Queen Anne's County Sanitary District, 310 Bateau Drive, Stevensville, Maryland 21666 until 10:00 a.m. local time on August 26, 2025 at which time they will be opened publicly and read aloud.

This phase is the final of four phases in a failing septic system abatement project which will consist of two construction contracts:

Contract SAN 24-01- Septic Tank Effluent Pump Installation
Contract SAN 24-02- Community Sewer Main Installation

The work of this contract, Contract No. SAN 24-01, consists of the installation of approximately 211 Septic Tank Effluent Pump (STEP) assemblies on private property to service existing homes (and a church). Each property is unique with its own constraints and challenges, the cost of which to address is to be included in the price bid. Bidders are encouraged to review all available information in order to adequately price in the efforts to address these constraints and challenges in their bid.
