ECLB Bookkeeping and Accounting
Description:
Overview

The Essex County Land Bank (ECLB), an affiliate of the North Country Rural Development Coalition (NRDC), invites proposals from qualified bookkeeping and accounting firms or professionals to provide ongoing monthly bookkeeping and accounting support services. This initiative aims to support ECLB and, potentially, other entities such as the Ticonderoga Revitalization Alliance (TRA) and NRDC in the future.

Scope of Work

The selected firm or individual will be responsible for the following services:

  • Monthly bookkeeping, including:
    • Account reconciliations
    • Accounts payable and receivable management
    • General accounting support
  • Audit support
  • Creation of financial reports
  • QuickBooks maintenance and management

Note: While services are being procured for ECLB, the selected vendor must be prepared to extend support to TRA and NRDC as needed.

Contract Duration

This RFP is for a three-year contract with an opportunity for annual renewal based on performance.

Proposal Requirements

All proposals must include the following:

  1. Firm/Professional Background

    • Overview of your firm or professional experience
    • Relevant qualifications and certifications
  2. Experience

    • Description of prior experience in providing bookkeeping and accounting services, especially for non-profits or similar organizations
    • References from previous clients
  3. Proposed Approach

    • Outline of your proposed methodology for fulfilling the scope of work
    • Any technology or tools to be utilized
  4. Cost Proposal

    • Detailed breakdown of fees for services rendered
    • Any additional costs that may be incurred
  5. Diversity and Inclusion

    • Statement of commitment to diversity, including any certifications as a Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB), or Section 3 business.
