DESIGN AND INSTALL FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM IN MAYFIELD HOUSE AT OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK

THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY.

Olympic National Park, 14 Viewpoint Lane, Amanda Park, WA 98526

Project Title: Design and Installation of a new NFPA Standard 13D Sprinkler System in the Mayfield House on Lake Quinault.

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete the design and installation of a new sprinkler system in the Mayfield House.

Contractor shall be certified by the material/equipment manufacturer as trained in, and as knowledgeable of, the manufacturer's standard practice and procedure relating to installation of sprinkler systems.

The Contractor shall be certified and licensed by the state and local jurisdictions, as applicable.

Contractor shall be a firm specializing in performing fire-suppression installation work with a minimum of five years¿ experience and must be regularly engaged in the installation of water-based fire suppression systems.

System shall include aboveground distribution piping, sprinklers, water storage tank and water supply lines (if required) and other related components and appurtenances for coverage of the 2,600 square foot, two story, Type V construction, Mayfield House. This building will be used as housing for park staff.

Site visit dates and pictures of the site will be offered as part of the solicitation package.

All work including but not limited to architectural, mechanical, electrical and structural shall be performed with extreme care to avoid damage to existing materials to remain or materials to be removed and reinstalled. Where ¿hot work¿ (open flame, grinding, welding, brazing, smelting) is required the Contractor shall apply for, and always have on site, a valid National Park Service hot work permit.

Anticipated Period of Performance: 3/02/2026 - 6/30/2026

The NAICS code is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors, size standard $19.0M. The solicitation is anticipated to be a one-hundred percent small-business set-aside.
The entire solicitation package is expected to be posted on or about December 31st, 2025 (this is a target date which may slip or change; if the solicitation is not posted on SAM by December 31st, 2025, that is because the solicitation is not available for posting). The solicitation will be available for a minimum of thirty (30) calendar days once posted.

This is a pre-solicitation notice. The solicitation will include detailed requirements and specifications. The contracting office will not provide hardcopies or email copies of the solicitation.

All interested offerors MUST have an active vendor record in SAM.gov, be a small business under the identified NAICS code and NOT have any exclusions, such as a delinquent federal debt or debarment.
