Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District intends to solicit for services The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District intends to solicit for services for Lawn and Ground Maintenance for base with four (4) year option period.



This is a NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP), is NOT and Invitation for Bid (IFB) nor a solicitation. No proposal is being requested or accepted with the Sources Sought Notice, and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests.



The work included the following: Provide lawn and garden maintenance at the Sault Project Office




  1. The Contractor shall provide all management, labor, tools, equipment and supplies necessary to perform grounds maintenance services at the St Marys Falls Canal and Rock Cut in a manner that will maintain a satisfactory facility condition and present a clean, neat and professional appearance.

  2. The Contractor shall perform landscape maintenance during the growing season to maintain the outside areas in a neat and clean manner. Items included in Landscape Maintenance are lawn mowing, edging, trimming, raking, vegetation control, collecting and disposing of fallen limb and leaf debris, mulched bed maintenance, and policing to keep the area clean and free of debris and trash. The Contractor is responsible for removal of weeds, debris, trash, etc from the site and for disposal at no additional contractual cost.

  3. The Contractor shall submit to the government prior to starting work an AHA for each piece of equipment to be utilized for grounds maintenance and for each activity to be performed under this performance work statement.

  4. Crew trained in CDRL A027, A029, A031, A032.



The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 561730 – Landscaping Services, which has a size standard of $9,500,000 in average annual receipts.



This announcement is for planning purposes only and participation in the questionnaire is entirely voluntary and non-participation will not affect the consideration of any company for future federal contracts. In order to determine the extent of industry interest and experience in the requirement, interested contractors shall present the following information: a brief overview of the firm's capabilities and experience in Lawn and Grounds Maintenance projects similar in scope and the Sources Sought Questionnaire.



Qualified companies are encouraged to respond. The response to this notice shall be in summary format and shall not exceed three (3) pages. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this sources sought or Government use of any information provided. The Government will not pay for information or comments provided and will not recognize any costs associated with submission of comments.
