DISCLAIMER: This is a Sources Sought Notice only. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quote (RFQ), or Invitation for Bid (IFB). No solicitation document currently exists. This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes—it does not constitute a promise to issue a solicitation in the future and does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. BACKGROUND & SCOPE OF WORK: The purpose of this project is to relocate and add additional power legs to the water pumps in the Building 12 basement, as detailed in the attached document titled “SOW Bldg 12 Power Relocation V2.” The current system directly feeds the pumps with normal power and has no emergency power source tied onto the system. In the event of a power outage, the motor control center will not be able to provide power onto the pumps for the entirety of the building. The contractor shall conduct a thorough review of the work area and existing equipment and identify all potential pathways and hazards that are present in the path of work and determine the most feasible course of action for installation. The new emergency/normal power system is to be fully compliant with the VA Technical Information Library, Veterans Health Administration Electrical Design Manual, and up to date safety codes.
