Tumbler Ridge Trails & Destination Management Strategy

The District of Tumbler Ridge invites proposals for the Tumbler Ridge Trails & Destination Management Strategy (TRTDMS). This strategy will guide the sustainable development, management, and promotion of Tumbler Ridge’s trail network and tourism assets, ensuring environmental conservation, community engagement, and long-term economic benefits.The project objectives include developing a comprehensive trail inventory with GIS mapping, establishing a Trails Master Plan for development, maintenance, and wayfinding, creating a Destination Management Framework to enhance visitor experiences and tourism growth, aligning with regional and provincial strategies to attract investment and increase tourism, and providing an Implementation Plan with cost estimates and funding strategies.The TRTDMS will serve as a long-term strategic guide, strengthening partnerships, supporting economic diversification, and positioning Tumbler Ridge as a world-class adventure tourism destination.
