Elevator Modernization Proposal
The County Commissioners of Caroline County are accepting bids (written quotes) from qualified and
experienced elevator contractors for the comprehensive replacement/modernization of the existing elevator
systems located at the Caroline County Courthouse, 109 Market Street, Denton, MD. The goal of this project is to enhance safety, improve reliability, increase energy efficiency, ensure code compliance, and enhance the
overall passenger experience.
Courthouse hours are 8-4:30 pm. All areas will have to be secured with safety equipment to ensure the safety
of both employees and the public.
The scope of this contract includes, but is not limited to:
The successful proposer shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, engineering, permits,
testing, and other services necessary for the complete and turnkey replacement/modernization of the
elevator(s) as detailed in this RFP. The work shall include, but not be limited to, the removal of specified
existing components, the furnishing and installation of new components, and all necessary adjustments and
tests to ensure safe, reliable, and code-compliant operation.

from the Caroline County Department of Finance at 109 Market Street, Denton, Maryland 21629. Refer to
RFP# CCDPW2026-02.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on 10/15/2025 at 9:00 am at the Caroline County Circuit Courthouse,
109 Market Street, Denton, Maryland 21629. Bidders are required to attend. Questions regarding this RFP
should be directed to Kevin Brown, Facilities Superintendent at 410-479-0520 or by email at
kbrown@carolinemd.org by noon 10/22/2025.
Bids must be received in the office of the Caroline County Commissioners, located at 109 Market Street,
Denton, Maryland 21629, ATTENTION: Nicole Pearce, by no later than 10:00 am, 11/05/2025, where they
will be publicly opened and read aloud. The County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any/or all bids.
CERTIFIED MINORITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISES ARE ENCOURAGED TO RESPOND TO THIS INVITATION TO BID.
