ADVERTISEMENT

The West Platte School District, 1103 Washington Street, Weston, MO 64098, will receive sealed bids on a General Contract for Construction, including mechanical and electrical work, for the referenced project as described below.

Bids shall be on a stipulated sum basis; segregated bids will not be accepted.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Approximate area of building: 7,241 sf

Estimated construction cost range (base bid): $600,000.00

Abbreviated written summary: Briefly and without force and effect on Contract Documents, work of Contract can be summarized as follows:

1) Sitework: Playground Surface Demolition, Playground / Locker Room Roof replacement, Playground subdrainage preparation, Ornamental Fencing, Ornamental Gates, Ornamental Slider Gates, Gate Operators and site concrete.

2) Roof: Provide single-ply roofing system over existing locker room concrete roof deck / rooftop playground.

2) Interior Finishes: Partial Painting, Partial Lay-in Ceiling Panel Replacement

3) Specialties and Equipment: Coordinate with Playground Contractor’s installation of new equipment and synthetic turf playground surface.

4) Plumbing Work: Replace existing roof drains, Relocate existing standpipe

5) Electrical Work: Provide power and conduit for the Sliding Gate Operator and accessories.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE

A pre-bid conference will be held at the time and location indicated below for all interested bidders to acquaint themselves with the site and to discuss the project with the Architect, the Mechanical/Electrical Engineer and the Owner. Attendance is encouraged, but is not mandatory. Any material changes or clarifications to the Bid documents discussed at this conference will only be binding when issued to all Bidders by addenda.

SITE VISITS

Contractors may make arrangements to visit the site and examine the existing building by contacting Mr. Matt Stephens, Director of Facilities & Grounds (816) 640-2236 Ext 1110 stephensm@wpsd.net . Site visits shall occur between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

CAD files of the Drawings will NOT be available for bidding.

BID SECURITY AND BONDS

Bid Security and bonds will be required in accordance with "Instructions to Bidders". All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The bid bond shall be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of Missouri and made payable to the West Platte School District.
