Project Description: Ohio Township will receive bids online via the PennBid Program (www.PennBid.net) until 10:00 AM on March 20, 2026 for the Traffic Signal Replacement at SR 4022/County Road 1190-1 (Mount Nebo Road) and SR 4022 (Arndt Road). Work is complete traffic signal removal and replacement including signal supports/foundations, controller equipment, signal heads, detection equipment, associated wiring and conduit, signing, and pavement markings.
Documents will be available on-line at no cost at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com/ at 10:00 AM on March 2, 2026.
Bids must include a certified check or bid bond, with corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania in the amount of 10% of the bid, as posted through PennBid. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder.
Bids will be opened online on March 20, 2026 and referred to the Township for award. Bids will be reviewed and approved at the Board of Supervisors meeting on April 6 2026. An abstract of the bids will be available on PennBid at the date and time bids are due.
Questions may be submitted through PennBid’s “Questions” tab on or before Noon on March 18, 2026. Responses will be provided via PennBid to all registered plan holders. Responses will be posted on PennBid and notification sent to Bidders who have registered with and downloaded documents from PennBid.
Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid packages, (ie insurance and the E-Verify Public Works Employment Verification Act and PA Prevailing Wage Rates).
The Successful Bidder who is awarded the Contract will be required to pay PennBid a fee of 1/3% (.0033) of the Contract Award Value.
Ohio Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or portions of, to informalities in the bidding, and to withhold award for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of Bids.
