ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The City of West Memphis invites interested partes to submit sealed bids for The Removal of Grassy Islands and Vegetation from Ten Mile Bayou. Bids will be received at City Hall, 205 S Redding, West Memphis AR. 72301 until 4:00 PM on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at which time, the bids will be opened and read aloud. The bid opening is open to the public.
The work consists generally of mopping out the ditch to remove grass islands and vegetation. No ditch widening required, although woody growth to be removed from the working ditch bank. No trees need to be removed. Much of the ditch is only accessible from one bank so extended boom excavator, drag lines or swamp buggy excavator will be needed. All debris to be removed off-site. The City does not have a disposal site. The work zone is approximately 2 linear miles in length.
All Bidders must be licensed contractors to perform the type of work specified in the bid as required by the State of Arkansas.

The City of West Memphis reserves the right to waive irregularities; to reject bids in its sole discretion for any reason; to postpone the award of the contract for a period that shall not exceed beyond 60 days from the bid opening date.
