1.2 INVITATION

A. Your firm is invited to submit a sealed bid to the Owner for construction of improvements to the existing facilities located at address above.

B. Project Description:

The project includes acoustical/sound mitigation improvements utilizing acoustical clouds within the second floor commons area.

C. Bids will be on a stipulated sum basis.

D. The Owner requires the Project to achieve Substantial Completion on July 17, 2026 and Project Completion July 24, 2026.

E. A prebid meeting will be held at the Project site beginning at 2:00 p.m. local prevailing time on March 10th, at 901 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, Kansas 66502. Bidder attendance is optional.

F. The Owner will receive bids until 3:00 p.m. local prevailing time on April 1st, 2026. Bids received after this time will not be accepted.

G. Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud immediately after bid submittal time. All interested parties are invited to attend.

H. Bidding documents may be viewed at no cost by general contract bidders by creating an account on Architect bid management website https://projectbids.drexeltech.com/

I. Bidders are required to provide bid security in the form of a bid bond in a sum no less than 5 percent of the bid sum.

J. Bid are required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 60 calendar days after submission.

K. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to accept or reject any and all bids.
