The Nantucket Islands Land Bank (“Land Bank”), the awarding authority, through its Commission, invites qualified bidders to submit bids for all labor, materials, equipment and services required to implement a targeted invasive species management and control program for four Land Bank properties. The subject properties are located at 50-56 Madaket Road (Bamboo Forest), 2 Milestone Road (Creeks Preserve), 231 Polpis Road (Reyes Pond), and 16 East Creek Road (Creeks Overlook). The management program entails removing invasive plants with a combination of mechanical and chemical treatments and reseeding the areas with an approved seed mix. Work shall begin in May 2026 and end in December 2028. Prior to starting work, the selected Contractor shall submit a Contractor’s Invasive Species Removal Plan (CISRP) detailing specific methods for managing each target species and shall provide proof of current Massachusetts Pesticide License certification.

Requests for Information concerning this IFB must be received via email to Eleanor Antonietti at eantonietti@nantucketlandbank.org by 4pm on April 9, 2026. This IFB is made in accordance with M.G.L. c. 30§ 39M and all other applicable laws. The Land Bank Commission must approve any contract regarding this project and reserves the right to reject any and all bids if it is in its best interest to do so.

Bid packages can be obtained electronically as of March 25, 2026 on the Procurement page of the Town of Nantucket’s website at https://www.nantucket-ma.gov/199/Procurement, and will be accepted at the Land Bank office, 22 Broad Street, Nantucket, MA 02554, up until 3pm EST on April 22, 2026, and publicly opened forthwith. All interested parties must register their contact information on the webpage prior to downloading the bid package and in order to ensure receipt of any changes or addenda to the IFB.
