Description


Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals
necessary for the installation of the FY 2025 Local Maintenance and Improvement Grant (LMIG),
and 2025 Local Road Assistance (LRA) Funding, Leveling and Resurfacing Improvements to
Martin Drive located in the City of Ray City, Georgia until 10:00 am (local time), Wednesday,
October 15, 2025 at which time bids will be opened and read.
The meeting will be held at the City of Ray City, City Hall and will be opened to the public. Proposals
can be mailed or delivered to the attention of Denice Ray, City Clerk, City of Ray City,
P. O. Box 128, Ray City, Georgia 31645. Proposals received after the designated time will not be
considered. The City of Ray City may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids.
The Scope of Work Includes:
Leveling and Resurfacing Improvements to Martin Drive from Main Street to Dead End (0.152
Miles).
All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Ray City in the amount of at
least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the
Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and
Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Ray City.
Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and Payment Bond shall
be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount.
The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the City of Ray City, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder
fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) days after
being notified that he has been awarded the Contract.
All work on the project must be completed within 90 consecutive calendar days.
