The City of St. Petersburg is seeking quotes from qualified vendors to provide landscape installation, irrigation design, irrigation installation, fencing, and establishment period services for a six (6) month duration. The work is to be done surrounding the Elder Jordan statue located at the intersection of 22 nd St. S. and 7 th Ave. S. on the south side of the Manhattan Casino building.
This is a sheltered bid only open to City of St. Petersburg certified Small Business Enterprise's (SBE). Work must be self-performed.
The Elder Jordan Sr. statue was unveiled on October 28, 2020. The idea for the statue was conceived by the community. The City of St. Petersburg commissioned local artist John Hair to create the bronze statue of Elder Jordan Sr., a former slave turned entrepreneur and one of the city’s original pioneers. The statue immortalizes a man who built opportunity and paved the way for much progress. It is prominently located on 22nd Street South to welcome all who come to The Deuces, St. Petersburg’s historic 22nd Street Corridor.
The site is located at the intersection of 22 nd St. S. and 7 th Ave. S. on the south side of the Manhattan Casino building. The project address is 688 22 nd Street South.
