Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. This Sources Sought Notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or a guarantee to issue a solicitation in the future. This Sources Sought Notice does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. This announcement is based on the best information available at this time and is subject to future modification.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 621999 All Other Miscellaneous Ambulatory Health Care Services, Small Business Size Standard $15 Million.
Purpose and Objectives:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, and the East Orange VA Medical Center anticipate a 2-year contract for Ultrasound Renal Services to include the unit, technician and probes.
The Contractor shall make the units and certified technician available to the East Orange VAMC in accordance with a schedule mutually agreed upon by both the VA Medical Center and Contractor. Contractor shall conduct performance within the manufacturer s specifications. Contractor shall provide all equipment, probes and certified technician. All equipment shall be compatible with the Da Vinci Surgical Robot.
Duties and Response times include, but are not limited to:
Contractor will rent per procedure Ultrasound Services.
Contractor will be liable for damages should patient injury result due to ultrasound malfunction.
The Contractor shall make available all the following ultrasound, labor and certified technician available to the East Orange VAMC in accordance with a schedule mutually agreed upon by both the VA Medical Center and Contractor.

Robotic Pro Art Probe
Hockey Stick Probe
Contractor shall conduct performance tests of the units to ensure that the units are in the highest-level working condition in accordance with the manufacturer s specifications.
Contractor shall maintain all ultrasound equipment in safe and operating condition at all times. The contractor is responsible to ensure that all corrective, preventative and all components of the system will operate at optimum performance to provide the best possible treatment to the patients and minimize downtime.
Up to date preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance records for the equipment must be made available to the East Orange VAMC Biomedical Engineering Department by the Contractor upon request.
Contractor shall bill in accordance with the services in the SOW and coordinating pricing in the Schedule of Supplies and Services.
Contractor shall only bill for actual items used in each case.
Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supervision, equipment, and services as required in this SOW.
The Contractor shall be responsible for completing all reporting requirements established by the contract.
Contractor shall be responsible for assuring the accuracy and completeness of all ultrasound use records and other documents as well as the timely submission of each. Ultrasound Use Records shall be completed by the Contractor for each case which utilizes an ultrasound.
Contractor shall comply with the contract requirements regarding the appropriate instructions, timetables, and technical assistance as required.
Contractor shall ensure that all technicians while on VA property wear a company identification badge.
Contractor shall ensure all Contract Technicians familiar and are required to follow all VA policies and procedures.
Contractor shall provide all equipment, probes and certified technicians.
