Generative AI Training and Advisory Services

The City of Rancho Cordova invites qualified vendors to submit proposals to provide AI Advanced Training (Phase 2) and advisory services.

As part of its commitment to innovation, the city conducted Phase 1 of Generative AI (Gen AI) Training for all staff. This initial phase provided an overview of Gen AI, its capabilities, and its limitations, enabling employees to familiarize themselves with the foundational concepts of artificial intelligence. Following this, staff involved in the Gen AI pilot initiative have been using City-provided ChatGPT licenses for six months, leveraging the tool to enhance productivity and explore AI's potential in their daily workflows. While ChatGPT is currently in use, the city also plans to pilot Microsoft CoPilot when it becomes available in the Government Cloud.

Phase 2 builds on this foundation and focuses on providing advanced training for staff who are interested in exploring the advanced functionalities of Generative AI (Gen AI). The objective is to equip these participants with hands-on skills to utilize AI tools more effectively, integrate AI solutions into daily workflows, and develop tailored applications to address department-specific challenges.

This procurement will be based on a best-value approach, prioritizing the quality of training design, delivery, and vendor expertise while considering cost as part of the evaluation.
